Need More Information?

All Pennsylvania fishing & boating regulations are ENFORCED.  Fishing is permitted from boats & from the shores of the Reservoir where allowed by the Authority.  See our map/guide. Available at the Fishing Headquarters/Bait Shop located at 212 Spruce Grove Road.

Boat ACCESS is from the Fishing Headquarters ONLY.

EVERY ONE  MUST

REGISTER

at the  Bait Shop. 

Boats must be 10 feet or more in length.  Oars or electric motors only.  NO gasoline engines permitted.  No boat occupants under the age 18 unless accompanied by an adult.  One personal flotation device(PFD) aboard per occupant.  Seat cushions may NOT be substituted.  Children, age 12 and under, must wear a PFD at all times.  No boat  will be permitted on the reservoir that does not meet the above requirements.  Each boat launched will be issued a CWA identification flag, which must be visible at all times.  Swimming is not permitted.  Dogs, horses & other domesticated animals are prohibited.  NO PETS, as per Chester Water Authority RULES.  Cutting, damaging or removing any wild plant is prohibited.  The Octoraro Reservoir is not a flood control facility.  be advised that severe storms will cause unpredictable and unsafe conditions.  In the event of storms, ALL boats must leave the water.

NO  Open fires, Alcohol, Firearms, Littering or Ice fishing.
